Vivek Oberoi is the ‘most experienced’ officer on Rohit Shetty’s squad

The Rohit Shetty Cop universe only gets bigger and better. A few days after announcing that Shilpa Shetty will join Sidharth Malhotra in his next series Indian font, the director has now shared that Vivek Oberoi will also bring his acting prowess to the project. Rohit Shetty announced the development with a photo of Vivek Oberoi in action – wearing a police uniform, safety vest and brandishing a gun in his hand. Don’t miss Ray-Ban sunglasses either. Did someone ever say suave? Sharing the post on Instagram, Rohit Shetty said: “Meet the most experienced senior officer on our team. Welcome aboard Vivek,” along with the hashtags “Indian Police Force” and “shooting now.”

In response to the post, Vivek Oberoi said, “Thank you bro. Loving every moment. In 20 years, I have never seen or done an action of this magnitude. You are the master.”

The same image was also shared by the Saathiya star who expressed his joy at being part of the project. In his caption, Vivek Oberoi said, “Charged to join the best force: Indian font and be a super cop in the Rohit Shetty Cop universe! Thank you brother Rohit Shetty for trusting me for this amazing role! Loving the kickass action with my two other super cops, the awesome Sidharth Malhotra and one and only Shilpa Shetty… Heroism in khaki.

Over the weekend, Shilpa Shetty announced her association with the project using a similar message. Sharing a photo, the actress said, “Ready to set the OTT platform on fire for the first time. Super excited to join action king Rohit Shetty in his crime universe Indian Police Force on Prime, currently filming.”

Sharing his teaser video, main man Sidharth Malhotra said: “When Rohit Shetty sir says ‘Action’ you know he literally means it. Super excited to step into the cop universe with the king of action itself.

Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi is no stranger to OTT broadcasts. The actor made his streaming debut with Inner edge on Amazon Prime Video, which will also release Indian font.
