Improving health and wellbeing
Culture and sport have the power to change lives. We make sure Glasgow's communities enjoy taking part in culture and sport at all levels. Our programmes and events promote inclusion, happiness and health.
We are a sort of medication for some people and some of the guys and women will testify to that, that this is their release.
Glasgow Life’s Walking Football programme is more than just a game
It’s a chance for people to be part of a team and feel the multiple benefits of participating in sport. This one hour of activity a week helps those taking part to become fitter and healthier. Not only that, but it’s beneficial for their mental wellbeing.
